Role Model (Featuring Women in DFIR/IS/IA)
Fill out a Role Model form to be included in the Cyber Sleuth / FabFems Role Model online database.
This database showcases women in STEM, featuring members by career or location, with a focus on introducing young women to career pathways. Members of this site are vetted, the site does not expose member contact info publicly and does not require any interaction with students. Role models control what information they post, set the level of interaction they are comfortable with and can update their profile as needed. By clicking on the Cyber Sleuth affiliation in the FabFems form Cyber Sleuth students will be learn about you in the Cyber Sleuth Science Lab.
Role Model with Professional Interview (Featuring Women in DFIR/IS/IA)
Signup for the Video Showcase to enhance your Cyber Sleuth Lab / FabFems Profile with a Video or Audio Interview.
To participate in the showcase, members schedule a recorded professional interview to enhance their FabFems profile page. Interviews are produced by the Cyber Sleuth content development team and released subject to participant approval.
Panelist or Presenter
Attend a Cyber Sleuth Workshop or Industry Day as a Panelist or Presenter to interact directly with Cyber Sleuth Students.
Cyber Sleuth Labs hosts workshops, camps and after school programs for young women and other under-represented or under-served students around the nation. We have established pilot sites in Baltimore, New Orleans and the Greater Seattle and plan to expand. Industry Days are incorporated into the curriculum to provide opportunities for students to interact directly with industry professionals in person or via live video conferencing.
Program Development & Outreach Internship
Join the Cyber Sleuth Internship Program to develop the Role Model / Mentor Network & Resource Guide.
Encourage potential role models and mentors to join the Cyber Sleuth/FabFems Database, expand the Resource Guide, contribute to the social media presence and identify potential partners for the Cyber Sleuth partner network. Interns may be eligible for school credit and/or a stipend.
Digital Forensics Case Scenario and Content Development Internship
Join the Cyber Sleuth Internship Program to develop realistic case scenario data and educational curriculum for the Virtual Lab.
Work with the Cyber Sleuth Labs development team to create realistic scenarios for students to investigate and expand supporting training materials for the Cyber Sleuth Lab program. Interns may be eligible for school credit and / or a stipend.
Program Facilitator
Take the Cyber Sleuth Lab Facilitator Training Class to become eligible to provide classroom support for teachers who are introducing their students to the Cyber Sleuth Lab Training Program.
Participate in 8+ hours of in depth training covering all aspects of the program including the Core Curriculum, the use of the Cyber Sleuth Virtual Lab & Tool Kit, The Cyber Sleuth/ FabFems Database & Resource Guide, Role Model Training and Industry Day.
Course Instructor / Classroom Teacher
Take the Cyber Sleuth Lab Professional Development Class developed for teachers who are introducing High School students to the Cyber Sleuth Lab Training Program in a classroom, after school or camp setting.
Participate in 15+ hours of in-depth professional development and continuing education training covering all aspects of the program including the Core Curriculum, the use of the Cyber Sleuth Virtual Lab & Tool Kit, The Cyber Sleuth/ FabFems Database & Resource Guide, Role Model Training and Developing an Industry Day.
Graduate Research Assistant or Tech / Ed Post Doc
Join the Cyber Sleuth Team in a Research Capacity as we refine the research questions, gather evaluation metrics and expand the project.
Work with the core team members and key partners (including the National Girls Collaborative Project) to achieve the project research goals.
